Cybex Arc Trainer Error Codes Description

CYBEX Arc Trainers

Err7
Models: Arc Trainer 600a, SPORT, PRO, Elite
Probable Cause
An error Err7 on the Cybex 600A Arc Trainer or Cybex/Trotter Sport, Pro and Elite treadmills including models 450t, 500t, 515t, 520t, and 530t signifies an EEPROM error and indicates a memory loss.
Corrective Action
Repair or replace the display board.

bAd3
Models: Arc Trainer 600a, SPORT, PRO, Elite
Probable Cause
A bAd3 error on the Cybex/Trotter treadmill models Pro, Sport, and Elite including models 450t, 500t, 515t, 520t, and 530t as well as the Arc Trainer 600a indicates a watchdog timeout.
Corrective Action
Reset power to the machine by turning power switch off and on again. If error persists, replace the display board.

ErrE
Models: Arc Trainer
Probable Cause
An ErrE error on the Cybex 600a arc trainer indicates that the index switch is always on.
Corrective Action
Calibrate the elevation motor and if error persists, replace the elevation motor.

Lo-Bat
Models: 3900, 3950, 600c, 600R, 600H
Probable Cause
A Lo-Bat error displayed on the Cybex bikes 3900, 3950, 600c and 600r as well as the Hiker model 600H indicates low battery voltage.
Corrective Action
Charge the battery to 6 volts; Replace battery if necessary.

Err5
Models: Arc Trainer 600a
Probable Cause
An Err5 error displayed on the Cybex 600a arc trainer means that the index switch was not sensed within a timed limit. This indicates the following:
a) the need for elevation calibration
b) a faulty elevation motor
c) a faulty lower board.
Corrective Action
a) Calibrate the elevation motor.
b) If error persists after calibrating the elevation motor, replace the motor.  
c) Replace the lower board if necessary.

Models: 600T, Pro, Sport, Elite and Arc Trainer 600A
Probable Cause
A bAd2 error on the Trotter/Cybex 600T, Pro, Elite and Sport treadmills including 450t, 500t, 515t, 520t and 530t as well as the 600A Arc Trainer indicates an internal RAM error.
Cause for the bad2 error:
a) Display board
Corrective Action
Recycle power to the machine by turning power off and back on.  If error persists, replace the display board.

Err3
Models: Arc Trainer 600a
Probable Cause
An err3 error on the Cybex 600a arc trainer indicates that the speed sense has been lost. No speed signal. The following are possible causes for speed sense lost:
a) Faulty speed sensor disc
b) Faulty lower board
c) Faulty brake
Corrective Action
a) Check the speed sensor disc inspecting for damage.  Replace if necessary.
b) Check the lower board.  Replace if necessary.
c) Check the brake.  Replace if necessary.

Models: Arc Trainer 600a, SPORT, PRO, Elite Treadmills
Probable Cause
A faulty display board can be cause for a "bad0" error message to appear on Cybex 600A Arc Trainer or the Sport, Elite and Pro treadmills including models 450T, 500T, 515T, 520T and 530T.
Corrective Action
Recycle power to the machine by turning unit off and back on.  Repair or replace display board if error persists.
