Console codes require the unit to be in an "idle" state for code to be accepted. "Idle" state means the console is not displaying an error or any message that requires data input. The display should basically be freshly powered up, scrolling the EKG or welcome message.

Following console codes are for use with C3, C4 and C5 consoles that have red LEDs.

40 ENTER - Turn on teletype sound for scrolling messages only
41 ENTER - Turn off teletype sound for scrolling messages only
105 ENTER - Clear the entire memory (scrolling messages and custom workouts)
109 ENTER - Display summary for partial workouts (Revision 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 2.1 and 2.2 only)
1010 ENTER - Change a workout length
1650 ENTER - Program a custom workout
2121 ENTER - Turn off EKG symbol and turns on scrolling message; display is blank if no scrolling message has been programmed
2123 ENTER - Turn off scrolling message and turns on EKG symbol
3121 ENTER - Display current odds for jackpot option
4101 ENTER - Run a custom workout
7607 ENTER - Program a scrolling message
7703 ENTER - Display number of hours and floors (Revision 2.1 and 2.2 only)
8089 ENTER - Program odds for jackpot option
9750 ENTER - Change console to Rev. E (Revision 1.5, 2.1, and 2.2 only)
9751 ENTER - Change console to Rev. D (Revision 1.5, 2.1, and 2.2 only)
9760 ENTER - Change console to English system (Revision 1.5, 2.1, and 2.2 only)
9761 ENTER - Change console to Metric system (Revision 1.5, 2.1, and 2.2 only)

Level ^, 31, ENTER - Change units (MPH or KMH)
Level ^, 32, ENTER - Choose type of heart rate input and priority (telemetry or contact)
Level ^, 34, ENTER - Choose console language
Level ^, 35, ENTER - Changes contrast on console
Level ^, 39, ENTER - Reset console to factory defaults
Level ^, 40, ENTER - Displays machine run time in hours
Level ^, 41, ENTER - Displays number of workouts
Level ^, 42, ENTER - Displays distance traveled
Level ^, 43, ENTER - Displays software revision
Level ^, 44, ENTER - Displays machine type
Level ^, 46, ENTER - Displays machine run time in hours since last cleared (used for maintenance purposes)
Level ^, 60, ENTER - Test display - Screen alternates between all LCD segments turned on and a representative program screen
Level ^, 61, ENTER - Test keyboard - Pressing any key displays that key's name in the display window. Press CLEAR last to exit.
Level ^, 62, ENTER - Test serial port
Level ^, 63, ENTER - Test alternator - Verifies alternator field routines through the console. Position yourself on the machine and press ^ for "field on". After briefly exercising you should build resistance. Press V for "field off".
Level ^, 66, ENTER - Test tach response - Begin exercising on the machine. Console should regulate the alternator resistance based on the tach signal to maintain approx. 2,000 RPMs while you are exercising. If not, there is a possible problem in the AC Tap (TACH) or field circuit – check the alternator, AC Tap (Tach) wire, the field wire, the diode, the terminal posts, and the main cable.
